DESCRIPTION
Nautix HPE is a high build epoxy primer providing outstanding adhesion and protection characteristics over fibreglass, wood and metal substrates above or under the waterline. HPE also ensures a better adhesion of paint (especially antifouling).
This product is very easy to use, to apply and to sand. Nautix HPE can be applied in one coatof 200μ with a roller and can also be used to seal epoxy filler and fairing works before finishingpaints.
Applying 3 to 5 coats builds a watertight barrier of plate technology compounds for osmosisprotection of GRP and a anticorrosive protection for aluminium and metals
PREPARATION
The surface must be free from grease (degreaser Nautix SD), sanded (paper grade 150), rinsed with fresh water, clean and dry.
Mixing ratio in volume : 3 part base/ 1 part hardener.
Two-pot product must be mixed just before use. Mix only the quantity to be used.
Shake and stir thoroughly before use.
APPLICATION
To avoid any condensation between support and paint coat : support, ambient air, and paint temperatures must be the same (Dew-Point).
Do not apply under 10°C and over 35°C.
Application method : brush, roller or spray gun (nozzle 1.8-2mm).
Number of coats : 1 (for adhesion) - minimum 3 or 4 (for protection).
Thinner - Cleaner : Nautix DP - Maximum dilution 10 % .
Dilution only after base and hardener are mixed.
