DESCRIPTION

L2 is formulated according to the most up to date technology resulting in an extremely tough and ultra gloss finish with very easy application. The selection of the best compounds brings this exceptional durability. You will notice years after years high resistance in the marine environment thanks to matrix hardness.

The two-pot formulation provides very high quality and hardness, exceptional impact and abrasion resistance. L2 is resistant to washing with detergent.

This enamel allows fixing due to impact and scratching: sandpaper (wet sand paper grit 600 to 800), apply enamel then sandpaper (wet sand paper grit 800 to 1000) and polished.

Caution: only apply Nautix L2 enamel over two-top polyurethane enamels, two-pot epoxy

primers or polyurethane primers (PA and PO).

PREPARATION

After applying a filler or an undercoat U2, if necessary, the surface should be sanded (sand paper grit 320 to 400).

Mixing ratio by volume: base 3 parts / 1 part hardener.

Two-pot product must be mixed just before use. Mix only the quantity to be used. Thoroughly mix the hardener with the base material. Shake and stir thoroughly before use.

Let the paint stand for 10 minutes to allow bubbles to disperse.

APPLICATION

The surface must be clean, dry and at the same temperature as ambient air and paint (15°C minimum), so as to avoid bubbling or detachment problems provoked by condensation. The best time for painting is about mid day. It is not recommended to paint under bright sun.

To get the best finish, apply undercoat U2 before L2 enamel.

Do not apply under 15°C.

Apply 1 or 2 coats on a clean smooth surface. Lightly sand between coats for a superior finish.

Application method : brush, roller, spray gun (nozzle: 1.5-1.7mm).

Thinner/Cleaner : NAUTIX DP - Add thinner only after base and hardener are mixed.

Brush application

Stir the paint thoroughly with a clean spatula. Always use clean tools.

Soak the brush up to half its height only.

Paint 2 to 3 times in the same direction. Then smooth immediately at 90°. Proceed by 40cm² sections.

Recommended number of coat: 1 (80 microns).
